Do u think CVEs had ICIS time of WCP/SO?

I dunno,
it would probably depend on how much it cost to install, and whether the main computer on the CVE could cope with the system requirements (Didn't Zero say something about ICIS being hardwired into the Midways main computer? )

The CVEs of the time probably did have the ICIS System. The type from the novels (the transport conversions) were sold off or scrapped immediately after the war, though.

Like the TCS Eagle in WC3 Novel?

I mean like a new class of CVEs. I know the Tarawa and others were sold off.The Eagle probably was sold off sometime after WC3.

The Eagle was described, as in the WC3 novel, as the latest model of CVE... so I'd expect it's one of the ships still in service.

Yeah,Haesslich but I bet they came up with a newer model CVE.In 2669 to 2681 you think that would. But all this is guess.

The Vesuvius-class supercarrier was first put into service in 2671... or are you saying two years is the cutoff point? :D

It's 2673 not 2671 anyways.I'm saying eight to Seven years is a cut off point but maybe your right the Eagle probably still is in service.

I bet in 2681 Eagle carries:
Tigersharks
Wasps
Panthers
Shirkes
Condors
Marine LCs

Would u think? I'm doing this cause wanna write a Fan-fic around a CVE Crew during WCP.And I don't want anything unrealstic to WC.

Who knows? They continue to make the same classes of ships for a really long period of time.

That scene on the Midways suggests the ICIS is brand new. Even the Lex, a somewhat modern vessel, used the "briefing table" system.

The Lexington wasn't particularly modern... although she was nicely refitted... Either way, the last time we saw her briefing table was before ICIS was invented... Older ships may have been refitted with the ICIS system, though I doubt it. It doesn't seem to offer enough advantages to add it in unless you were completely redoing the briefing systems already for some reason.

Such as pulling a more substantial refit to upgrade ship systems to current standards?

Though I'd probably spend more effort on upgrading shielding and computers first, then work on the ICIS or other extra touches. :D

Yeah, what the heck's the point of ripping briefing rooms apart to install ICIS systems if you have systems that already work fine. There are better places to spend the money.

unless it got scrapped after it got torched in WC3N

Tigersharks

Shirkes

Marine LCs

sounds about right

Hence "somewhat modern".

Which was my point. :) ICIS is recent stuff.

That seems like an awful lot of stuff for an Escort Carrier. Remember that the Tarawa-type carried only three squadrons of fighters, and *no* shuttles. (Until the Tarawa became Landreich property, she used fighters for SAR and personell transport). The Marine LC's carried in End Run weren't supposed to be there...

IIRC, the ICIS manual specifies that escort carriers circa Prophecy carry Panthers and Shrikes... throw in a squadron of Excaliburs (as seen in the WCIII novel), and you're probably good.

Panthers,Shirkes and WC3 Excals is what I'll use. When I want to have a Marine Op involved I can just use a Pelican Class that is carrying Marines and have that 'Sport send out LCs for the Op.

I hope that sounds WC Realstic.

I would have though a CVE carried Tigersharks, but hay.

As to service, well modern warships go about 25 years, and if you overhaul the hull and the superstructure you could quite easily double that.
