Darket Light Fighter

Cam, I continue to be amazed by your modeling ability. Both the Dralthi and the Darket look wonderful. They have something that alot of models lack, they actually look menacing and massive. Keep it up!

It's not my modeling. It's my textures.

My model is pretty low poly. I think this model is around 5k in polys... but then, that's how Kilrathi ships are SUPPOSED to look. I just tried my best to give it a worn, used feeling. I don't think I did a good job but it's the best I can do so far.

I'm going to animate a sequence for class using my fighters... Wish me luck!

Looking great as always, you don't need me to shower any more praise. :)

Question: What are the two prongs at the back of the left of the fuselage?

Thanks for the positive feedback folks. :)

I have no clue! I found them on the top/down view of the Darket from the WC3 poster which TC scanned for me. Oh well, adds some variety hehe.

Well, the Kilrathi ship design had psychological aspects. Not everything has some specific technological use, they might be there just to look menacing, sharp, asymmetric, fang-like.

Ah, okay. I haven't really had a thorough look over those Warbirds pictures, I was just wondering...

Bender: Hubba hubba, she is built! In Mexico, I believe.
Flexo: And that ain’t silicon – it’s tungsten, and plenty of it!
Fry: Er, yeah, look at that exhaust fan.
Bender: Urgh! Pervert.
