Biological age of the Kilrathi.

Actually, they launched some missiles on key cities on Earth, but the really devastating missiles weren't launched thanks to Jukaga. The marines boarded and destroyed some of the Hakaga super carriers as well as some other smaller ships, all of which were far away from earth.

The ships that were directly striking at earth were destroyed by a force from Landreich, led by the Tarawa and other escort carriers.

Other than the fact that they have spaceships and planet-destroying weapons, the Cats are a fairly primitave race. :) It's worth noting that, at the beginning of the century, life expectancy was around fifty, maybe the age of an elderly cat. Thus, it seems that they don't have adequete medical technology...perhaps because they spent so much time fighting... :)

Well no, it just implies that the Kilrathi are a different species :). I mean, those big turtles live to something like 300 years, but that doesn't mean human healthcare is poor... :p

Sure, but I still stand by my original statement until LOAF, Chris Roberts or God comes here and corrects me. :p

I was demoted for misbehaving... you know, what with Mods being supposed to set a good example and all :). As I understand it, I may be restored to Mod status later on, if they decide that I've adjusted my behaviour sufficiently.

Ah, a bad little boy you were laddie? <G>

Anyway, what's been going on around the board the last few months? There are tons of people here I haven't had the pleasure of meeting before.

Oh yeah, there's been a lot of new faces these past few months. I'm sure you'll get to know them soon enough... or at least the ones that didn't leave ;). Times have been slightly more... turbulent... than usual. Anyway, there was definitely quite an increase in traffic, but it seems to be slowing down again now.

What've you been up to, anyway?

What have I been up to? Not much... I've taken some time of the net, trying to catch up with my studies. I checked the board few times but didn't post anything, and I just tried to keep up with the trivia.

And just recently I fuked up my leg, so now Earthworm is forced to dig through the earth instead of walking.:)

Digging through earth is standard procedure for Earthworms :).

Whoa, look at the time. Gotta go...

Well, I always felt that Q puts up a good example most of the time.

Anyway, EW, so the only reason you're back is because you stuffed up your leg? That makes us feel good. :)

Maybe the cats' life expectancy is comparatively low to ours because they don't see the point in living for any great length of time after they retire from active service. Since their society places so much emphasis on war and being great fighters, not being able to fight anymore must be quite depressing for them. Alternatively if they can achieve full maturity in 4 years then maybe their twilight years are similarly shortened.

Quarto: I don't think I'd be particularly inclined to trust the Devil. ;)

I would agree with the latter -- the lower life expectancy is biological, as they have evolved so that they *develop* so much quicker...

Okay, thanks. Oh my way of thinking which lead to the question, was why Thrakath didn't become Emperor and how old the Emperor still could become (normally if no human bomb falls on the planet *g*).
But many of the cats don't become very old, because they are often killed by another cat. Or even a human. If I think of the cats' temperament...just say a wrong word and the next one, you were till that minute peacefully talking with, kills you. Not very nice, but a good practice (in some ways). People whom are too fast with their mouth (talking and then thinking) don't survive very long.

Oh and Quarto: Fine that you will become a Mod. again. I was really shocked, after I heard what had happened and which things followed on it. :)

The Emperor expected to die of old age within the year, circa WC3 -- had this happened, Thrakhath would have become emperor.

I know, Thrakath was the only who could have become. And in the same year? I thought the old Emperor still had some years...(reason of the question).

According to the WC3 novel, the Emperor didn't have much tmie left at all. (Thrakhath was the most direct heir... but the Emperor could have had him killed and replaced with a cousin, if he so desired).

Kilrathi. : rolleyes: Family means nothing for them. Did they feel any love (moment, it is dumb question, Hobbes and the female Sivar priest were the best example), but it was not in our sense...it is more biological not so 'with thinking behind it', not like a human being feels, or what do you think about?

Hi Fishbone, I haven't said welcome yet!
I sure do think that the Kilrathi feel love. There are descriptions how they mourn the death of their sons, father and mother the same.
And between male and females, like you said, I think you can see that Hassa and Ralgha care for each other.
