Ace AI

I waxed the floor with every Pirate Ace that came along. They're nothing.

I upped the difficulty. Still they were nothing. Entertaining, but they never really stood a chance. ;)

Actually, I get very disappointed in the second mission where you're in the lumbering Longbow, and your two escort Hellcats keep beating you to the Aces. Actually, they end up killing the Frigate before I get there sometimes!

Eh, I tell everyone to go home and do the mission myself.

You know what wingmen are like regarding orders to return home. But actually, I haven't played that mission for a while, so I can't remember if they obey. Realistically, ordering you wingmen home is either a sign of arrogance or suicide.

And a good mean to get all the kills ;)

They do follow your orders to go home but it is a bit annyoing because you have to target them when you encounter enemies to send your message to them. Thus you have to disable smart targeting and cycle through all the targets manually.

Who cares? As long as I end up with Sosa and have a huge number of Ace kills. :D

Hmm, maybe they should make a WC pirate game...probably the only ships you can fly with are the old Talons, razors, maybe some Arrows and Thunderbolts. Then pit them against Vampires and Panthers occasionally:)

Eww, yuck. This isn't the Rebel Alliance, y'know.

Very troublesome sending wingmen home in WC2. You could send them into an escape pod via the cheat Alt-Del, or you could fly up to the Concordia in such a way that keeping formation forces them to crash... and crash... and crash... :)

Of course there was, Silly! If you didn't treat your pilots nicely, they didnt fly as well. The only person that wasn't affect by the morale scale was Maniac.

Sure? I thought it was Hobbes...

IIRC, all the pilots' flying skills were affected by their morale except for Hobbes. Which is why I side with Cobra after leaving Ariel, since I know Hobbes won't mind.

Yeah, that's been said before. Hey, it's all in the name of grabbing the most kills! :) (Hmm, sounds like Maniac...)

Speaking about SW.....
