Why do i take care of Ogre? Because of the vs Ogre engine change there is nobody who wants to develop the current engine further, which is needed for things like: - variable font sizes - auto scrollable text for fixer's mission description - improved look for planets/jumpholes - video...

Second overhaul comming ... but slowly. We need a lot of time to adapt the vs engine for the next version, also vs will be upgraded with Ogre and nobody can say right now what this means for the Privateer project, the worst case would be a major delay until 2007.

I agree. The VS engine is smoothing every model you import with mesher and mesher is the only tool with which you can convert models to the vs model format bfxm. You can't compare an external rendered model with the ingame look of it. If you want to compare something to decide which is looking...

Depends on what you want. We are working on interfaces and baseart so if you can hold yourself back just wait for the next GG version which is a lot better. WCU seems to be more a devel kit for games placed in the Wing Comander Universe, it's not a game. I'm not sure about the development on...

Try to find Library/Logs/CrashReporter in your home directory and email everything about vegastrike or privateer right after the next crash to me.

That's looking good so far. I guess you know about the differences to the original (... because you just need to compare both ;) ) and since this is still a WIP it won't make sense to mention them now. You're making good progress, can't wait to see the next version...
