For the moment, the issue is moot because I finished WC3 yesterday. I've now moved on to WC4 where I can fully customize my stick (hooray!). I will, however, look for hacks of the sort you mentioned because they'll prove useful for other DOS games. Thanks for the reply.

DISREGARD, problem solved. Reinstalled the game via DosBox. Configured the stick while in DOS mode, then applied the patch and went to Win95. Stick works fine now.

The native Win95 version is P2 "Deluxe Edition." While it runs under Win95 (and 98; don't know abt ME), it seems to lack a speed limiter so that it's unplayable on current high-end pc's without some kind of a cpu killer, like moslo.
