    The demon really needs the considered "internal magazine" feature which would have traded some cargo space off for more stored missiles (think of it as a missle launcher that consumes cargo space).

    Another minor bug Perry is the one "safe" system -- you should only meet kilrathi, retros or pirates if they are mission enemies there. I should have noted this in an earlier bug report, but I'm off my duff now.

    I have to agree, I've played a lot more, find I hate the changes in targetting. Sigh. Murphy's first RF mission is still minus the plot enemy bounty-hunters who are supposed to jump you.

    Well, my registration crashed on the betatest board, so I'm posting here. The limited radar doesn't work the way it should in that your enemies still persist and still follow you from place to place. In Privateer, if they were out of range they also didn't spawn .... Changing to the beta...

    All in all the remake is really great. Especially the one fusion gun at a time business ... (with a Centurion, especially, the gun spread is bad enough ...) though the last time I got them the game suddenly made like 30 available. Things I like: having a fleet. Hey, it is harmless...

    Just the random nature of availability I guess. BTW, I find myself avoiding the betatest because I hate standard asteroids so much and like the way they are in 1.0 so much better.

    Modest availability limits make sense, but the randomizing stuff makes it hard. I've no problem with some limits, I think they improve the game.

    oops, autotracking doesn't seem to actually affect space. Interesting, I had to choose between extra cargo space and other enhancements on my centurion. Fusion cannon available at New Detroit. Probably just random, but they are always available right after I've killed some Kilrathi...

    pretty much hits it on the head. bad points included stripping the AI out of the game (you could purchase AIs so you could autopilot) -- I know the designers were proud of the appearance and the graphics, but after a while, real time views just bored me to tears and took too much darn time...

    I don't mind the concept that you have to go to Perry for somethings, Pirate bases for others (just like buying stuff), but I'd like to have fusion guns, for example, be more routine at Perry (gee, I've gotten one after 20-30 shopping visits). It goes from interesting to painfull quickly.
