    That is a known problem with turrets immediately after you buy them. The next time you start up the remake, turrets should behave normally.

    Ah, nuts. Not getting a new one of those anytime soon, I'm afraid. Will do. CPU limiting may be the bigger constraint for the asteroids, but there's definitely some GPU limiting as well with eye cnady turned on. In 1.0 pre-releases I played around lots with AA/AF settings versus asteroid...

    Hmmm. I drew New Detroit squished for 1.1. I asked if it was ok. Everyone said it was. Based on that, I should draw Oxford squished, too. Or, I should redraw New Detroit round, and draw Oxford round, and both can go into 1.2 or whatever is coming next. Argue amongst yourselves. :)

    Yes, but that is a much more difficult change than just tweaking a config file. Once more advanced graphics processing is available in the Vega Strike engine, such as pixel shading, will that help with performance? I have a 6800GT on the way. We shall see if it can handle Rikel's 5 fields...

    Yes, but there is no expectation that anything in pre-1.0 betas will work witha 1,0 release. A 1.1 patch, however, generally fixes things withou interrrupting your game. I'm sure a developer or two will be along shortly to clear this up, but for now don't assume the games just don't work; there...

    I'm almost certain the installing the 1.1 patch over WCU will severly break things. WCU is not yet compatible with 1.1.

    My fault. I figured I'd take the chance and assume you were running Windows. Anyway, Manual.pdf is there for your 97 pages of reading pleasure. There is an updated manual included in the 1.1 release - it's 98 pages. :)

    Starmaps

    Yes, they work. If you have not purchased maps, you can only see systems that have previously been visited, and systesm immediately adjacent to those systems. If you buy maps, you can see entire quadrants without exploring them first.
