    Let's discuss tactics...

Thats better advice. I wouldn't say I have target fixation but I'm an X-Wing pilot first and TG's AI means that once you have a beed you better nail him because as soon as you break off he'll go for the bomber again. Although in X-Wing the bomber pilots are more single minded and you have a much...

    Let's discuss tactics...

Ah, that tells me nothing new, thanks anyway though. I went back to that mission because the next one is insane. Protecting the transports is hard enough but with all those fighters and the diversion to take out the bombers there just isn't enough fuel. It'd be okay if the Cats weren't...

    Let's discuss tactics...

Here's what I want to know. How do you stop your bombers or transports from getting toasted. Given the insane odds in Standoff and the woeful targetting computer I'm having real trouble with that mission to take down the Relatha and the Snakier. Speaking of which, how many fighters do...

    Excellent suggestions for Standoff team

Couldn't you compare the size of the WCI and WCII Rapier in relation to their dimensions. The ship is definately scaled down beyond any restructuring. If you work out by how much you can use that factor to rescale the Raptor and Hornet.

Will the Standoff scoreboards effect ship choice in following Episodes?

Bradshaw does choose his own ship, but you don't.

    Progress update!

As I recall Edar's Concordia has bays out the back, that you can't fly through. I hated the Gladius in Standoff 2. I could live with it until it lost ITTS. Its not like the Rapier where you hit your burners and slide in on their tale. You have to try deflection shooting in the Gladius!

    A bit late...

I have no objection to heavy fighters with torpedos. So if thats one of those Sabre missions thats fine. Currently not a fan of the crossbow though. I mean it would be fine if it had lots of missiles, or long range guns, or a 'burner but you get nothing. The whole dash should just be one big...

    A bit late...

Oh, by the by, will their be any Rapier missions in EPIII, like maybe the whole episode?

    A bit late...

I have to second the sentiments above, and the sound bug. Further, I wish to say that your Rapier now falls between the WCIII Excalibur and the WCIV Bearcat as my second favorite WC fighter ever. Soundly beating the Vampire, Arrow and T-Bolt.

    Congrats for the game guys

Great job guys. Just my thoughts, ITTS-less Gladius is a pain. I mean with the Rapier I can just slip in on his tail and nail him, same in the Ferret but the Gladius is too slow, plus the wide spaced guns don't help. Looking foward to getting the Sabres. Having never played WCII I was at...

    Suggestions for Standoff

I have to say that my only problem was the rooms thing. I assume the room we see is the Ready Room, while I accept that we don't need more rooms the one we have at the moment feels just a little cluttered. Here's just an idea, just to demonstrate what everyone is getting at. In the Ready...

How can you guys call this easy?

The projectiles aren't THAT slow and the speeds are the same as the other games, unless you think 1200kps is slow on the burners.

How can you guys call this easy?

Thinking about it actually the slower refire on the guns was one of the things that frustrated me the most. I just never seemed to be able to get enough shots in quick enough. I'll see how EPII plays. Looking foward to the Rapier.

Ok, you've all convinced us: Ep 1 was indeed to easy.

I did notice that, it was a nice little touch. Shame about the pilot heads then.

    So...again...Pilot heads with faces?
