Nobody said "Realistic", I said "serious".
AD said realistic. And you just said it! You can't say you didn't say something without saying it. You're like Mxyzptlk. Go back to your home dimension!
The creation of races, creatures, characters generally have a public target.
Not really. When the universe was created, what was the public target? When the human race was created, what was the public target?
When Tolkien created the Hobbits, he was just entertaining a thought, he wasn’t planning on anything yet. The target of “The Hobbit” was children and young adults, but you can’t really say that because of this fact all the races Lord of the Rings trilogy are poorly constructed and infantile.
The "Alien" is targeted to be feared, yes, but at the same time try to be convincing for all ages.
I'm pretty sure a lot of adults found it to be as convincing as a Godzilla monster from the 50's, since in both cases they know it's just a guy in a suit and other people pretending to be scared of him.
What makes your comparrison even worst is that the Xenomorph is a monster, without the civilization, culture or character of the Kilrathi.
And I think The Kilrathi race is targeted to teenagers. By the fact that they are Feline-Humans beings.
Teenagers are NOT feline-human beings. Get your facts straight.
Remember the time when Wing Commander came out, there was practically none Adult gamer like right now.... that explain why the Kilrathi looks like that.
It's the other way around, Wing Commander was a huge success in part due to the fact that it was also of the interest of adults to play it.
So, for an adult, the Kilrathi race could be ok, but If something more serious is looked, the space cats remain short.
They are pretty tall, in fact, taller than an average human. And they are not "spaced cats", they are from Kilrah. In Wing Commander 1 the Kilrathi hunted people with their bare claws for sport. Than the used a WMD to kill a quarter of a million people in one single attack. Yeah, that’s something aimed at children.
But that is missing the point. The fact that story is aimed at a younger audience doesn’t automatically make it less serious. It’s just a stupid prejudice.
Everything depends on the level of demand or knowledge that each one has.
What makes everything you say pretty much nonsense.
An adult in general has other preferences due to his knowledge that an teenager.
That's absurd - it's a widely known fact that teenagers have a preference for adult entertainment!
