Secret Ops: Powergaming?

Closeing a worm hole, help the Midway to test its super neon light, defend the Midway, destroy a Tiamat Dreadnoght,...
The list is very big, he did many things after being promoted to 1st Lt.

You're describing Casey, we're talking about O'Hearn. AKA Terry, or more commonly, Zero.

O.K. Casey did all that but Zero was in his wing and he helped (he did escorted, with Maniac help, Blair in the last mission without Casey help, I dont think that fight was uneventfull).
Casey sould have been promoted to Lt. Coronel IMHO.

Maestro escorted Blair, not Zero.

You can't promote somebody from 1st Lt. to Lt. Colonel, though. And Casey hasn't really shown much command ability yet...

Yeah but so far all he really had to do was show he could stay alive AND complete mission objectives. Which from what i have seen <G> he has done spectacuraly!

I just saw Zero as a waiter on Will and Grace tonight. He still had that white spot in his hair.

Oh BTW, I know you can find all the TV shows and movies where the WC actors have been in, on the Internet Movie DataBase (http://www.imdb.com), but I just saw Col. Jacob "HAWK" Manley in an episode of Outer Limits today, and previously Col. Gash Dekker in the new movie with Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts "The Mexican...

Just wanted to share these thoughts with you... :)

I still cannot believe that Zero was promoted from 1st Lt. to Major in the time between he got his marching orders to Cerberus and arriving there.
BTW what kind of command ability has Zero shown?

Basically none... but I do have to voice the opinion that more happens between Casey and Rachel than Casey and Talvert.

How can you possibly know how much command ability Zero has shown? Yes, he's one of the major characters in Prophecy/SO, but it's not like we see him THAT often.

You people are just picking on Zero because he's famous -- Amazon was also promoted from 1st Lt. to Major.

People who serve on a ship that single-handedly stops a large scale invasion tend to get promotions.

Bear was a Lt. Commander when he became a WC. Of an incredibly small and crapy carrier.:)

And yes, Lt. Commander is a navy rank... my safest bet would be that Forstchen meant Lt. Colonel, or Major (which is the Space Forces equivelant of Lt Commander).

But what i mean was, he was 27 when he became Wing Commander. All of his newbie pilots were at least 22. Thats only five years to go from plebe to Wing Commander, a feat even Blair was unable to accomplish. Sure he was relinguished to a backwater insystem security job because Confed thought he was responsible for the loss of the TCS Tiger's Claw but still :)

Thou art forgeting that little Bear lied about his age, and joined up when he was 16.

Plus Tolwyns kind word here and there shouldn't hurt his carer.:)

Still! seven years, Tolwyn's help or not is impressive.

And it required Tolwyn's help after the Gettysburg incident.
