Pre-WC1 ships?

Eder

Mr. Standoff
I was wondering about something and thought you guys could help me out... What confed ships were in service between the start of the war, and WC1? Scimitars, Bengals, and what... some Rangers maybe?
Anyway I'm probably missing a lot of ships since the Scim couldn't possibly have been the only fighter in the fleet.

Thanks,

OK well lets take a list shall we: Concordia Class Carriers, Ranger Class Carriers, the AS Battlewagons, fighters= Wildcat and Hurricane plus even farther back the Minetor. Beyond that I do not know, read Action Stations

The 'battlewagons' mentioned in AS are not a class. A battlewagon is pretty much refering to any type of (normally large) ship that engages in capship to capship fights, rather than launching fighters.

Also it's spelled Minotaur, not Minetor. (just pointing that out for clarity's sake)

Oh, so they DID have other fighters! :P Thanks for the help!
Are there any pictures of those fighters? Now you guys made me even more curious :D

Indeed. It's quite a good book. It manages to explain the background of Geoff Tolwyn and Vance Richard's relationship, Kruger's history and the start of the war.

One thing kind of confused me though, in AS its Hans Kruger, but in the other books its Max Kruger. He wasnt the kind of guy to change his name to avoid the authorities, and once he was in the Landriech he didnt have to bother.

I think the problem was the Sar corporation rather than the authorities. Kruger was pretty scared of them, and they wouldn't have bothered with legal niceties.

Best, Raptor

True but just changing his first name wouldnt REALLY help. And as Commander Turner pointed out, Landriechers would fry any assasin before he had a chance to kill one of their own, which Kruger was. Or would at least kill him immeadiatly after.:)

The Victory is a pre-war era light carrier, the pre-war era light carriers are Ranger class... Captain Johnny is credited with figuring *that* out;)

More than likely, *Hans* is his fake name -- what with him being hiding from the SArns and such. Max is certainly his first name, since Maximillian Kruger is used in False Colors when he's officially reading his orders...

Tiger's Claw was the first of the new, larger upgraded Bengals... the original, smaller variant entered service in '19. Which sort of makes sense, because why would the TCS *Tiger's Claw* be the first *Bengal* class ship?
