Pilgrim Truth novel?

Or you could do what I did and actually go buy the fricken book if you feel bad about reviewing something you haven't read. (OK, I did it because I was trying to buy a WC book but Chapters' computer system was down so I couldn't order anything... but I still read it!)

True, but then I would be spending money on a book that I dont care about, if it was a wing commander book then hell yea I would buy it, but with it just being a book that I know nothing about, I would be wasting my money,

Huh, so what's the deal? We either have to buy Telep's other book and review it, or simply fake the review... ? What kind of deal is this, please? Does Telep's contract with HarperCollins say "your next book won't be printed until your old one has 50 reviews on amazon.com" ? My problem is that I don't understand the problem, why does Telep need those reviews so badly?

Plus, what would we get for it? A new WC book? That'd mean the publisher would only print new books of the same author when his other book got enough reviews on amazon.com. I doubt that's true... so we'd get the "outline" of Pilgrim Truth. What's that... a one-page summary of the whole book? I think I either want the whole book or prefer to have my phantasy finishing the story.

I'm really wondering how Red Planet and Pilgrim Truth depend on each other and which role the number of reviews on amazon plays in that game. Maybe someone of you who talked with Telep or knows this business could give me a hint please.

Don't you read the news at this site? :/ Telep is going to release the putline for Pilgrim Truth if he can get 50 poeple to give Red Plant a review.

We've explained this many times. :( Harper collins and the publishing of Piltrim Truth have nothing to do with this. However, Peter Telep would be willing to do us a favorite and write a big plot summary of Pilgrim Truth if we'd do him the favor of reviewing his then-latest novel Red Planet. However, all of the WC fan community hasn't put in nearly as much time as it'd take Telep to write this outline, so why should he? In fact, more time has been spent whining about it on the chat zone than actually reviewing Red Planet..

Well, it wouldn't actually be reviewing if we've never actually read Red Planet, but what the hell? I'll go and write a "review," if you guys really want that outline so badly (honestly, I don't really care if we get it or not, but that's just me).

Pilgrim Truth novel

It's not so much as up and typing in a falsified review. It's the principle of the thing. Most people whom have respect and Morales/Principles don't want to up and lie about something they have no interest in or don't give a rats rear about.

The idea of writing a review for Telep's is so that he can try and make more money for his books and become far more popular that his curent status is. It all comes down to money. Everybody wants it and Telep's realizes that he needs more leverage which he will get if you post a review that is favorable for him and his writing styles to get more money for his books. Don't get me wrong I enjoy his WC books greatly. (All 2 of them) I would love to continue to read his books on the WC series that he started. But I don't beleive he needs our review on a book that has nothing to do with the WC series when we are obviously not interested in, "Red Planet."

Another point in fact to this; You may not want to wait for Teleps to finish his book and get it out to the store for the readers to enjoy. Try writing your own book then, you may get lucky and produce something excellent. Take some of the other Sci/Fi, Fantasy book series for instance. They are not all written by the same author, but a conglomeration of authors due to the fact people get tired of waiting and want to continue the storyline. I admit they are not all successful, but at least they are trying and they do get lucky once and a while.

Now if Telep's wanted to make money he would just get the book out there for his readers to read and not sit and stew over his wanted reviews for the "Red Planet" book. My opinion is he should just get on with writing and keep the books coming out and keep the readers happy with new and exciting story lines. That is a sure way to make money for him, plus as an added bonus he would get the reviews he is craving so he can bid for a higher contract. That way it would be a Win, Win situation.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having problems with a writer asking people to lie (or even hinting at it) to get better sales. It's one thing to ask people who read the book to write a review, its quite another to ask them to make up reviews. If he never even hinted for people to make up reviews, then I apoligize for including him in that but its still tacky to do such a thing.

The Pilgrim Truth Synopse is good.

Man I want to read the book all the more now. I think he has a great book written, It looks like it may fit into continuaty pretty well.

Yeah.. he wraps up stuff like the Pilgrims pretty well.. but Telep's usually pretty good about fixing minor continuity things too.

only continuaty problems that still exists is certain deaths in the movie.

In the back history for the movie Bossman supposedly died of radiation poisoning, but we see him alive and well in wc1. Easy fix, he was being healed and confed high command thought it best to hide his whereabouts until he was better. Then sent a new letter to his wife to tell them the good news. He returns after the pilgrim ordeal.

Second error, Knight dies at the end of the movie but he is alive an well in WC1. Easy fix he was able to jettison an escape pod but was badly injured. His pod was recovered by one of the other squadrons, who forgot to mention the fact to blair and his squadron that knight was still alive. Knight recovers from his wounds and returns to his duty after the pilgrim ordeal.

Next thing that happens is the the wc1 campaign and the story goes forward from there.

In Knight's case there's really no error... We're not shown, nor told that Knight is dead, therefore the only choice left is to assume that he ejected. Blair and other pilots from his squadron could certainly find out about this immedietly, but there's no reason for them to talk about it.
