Kilrathi Saga

Sadly, I'll need Kilrathi Saga if I ever want to play WC1 or 2 ever again. Unfortunately, I don't have $180 to spend on the ebay auctions. :(

You dont *need* KS to play WC1&2....... you can get the originals, and play them on older computers....its actually cheaper!

Um, WE did.....
**shmacks Kruge99 upside the head**
Now hand it over to me real slow-like, and nobody'll get hurt....

actually i always found that moslo made it jerky and slow :D likewise with any other slowdown program (jerky in wc, not just in anything :D)

btw
does anyone know how to patch modern gfx cards to run old style vga, like is used in star controls one and 2, cos its pissing me off that neither my voodoo 3 or geforce 3 will do it

I got KS when it came out - it is very cool - even just for the little intro movie....

slightly off topic - but does anyone know if its possible at all to get Strike Commander or Privateer to work with a USB joystik?

(or to work at all for that matter)..

Eheh, looks like some sort of a pattern from my latest posts, doesn't it? :)
Nah don't worry, I managed to make MoSlo work decently after a few (read: a lot) tries, but using a slow down utility just spoils the game IMHO... Better buy an old 386 from eBay to play WC1 and 2...

Star Control 2 is apparently a special case with problems that don't apply to most games. For a description of the problem and the fix, go here:

The quick answer is to add this to the end of the launcher:

/g:bios

You might also want to post this in tech support, some of the folks over there don't always view posts over here, only so many hours in the day. It might be possible depending on how you are playing the game. If it is through Windows 98, but not using a boot disk, you can do it, at least I've seen it done. You can't program them, though. At least not the Gamestick 3-D, my buddy Kenny has.
