And even then, it would cost a phenomenal amount of money to do so. But a large enough group of like-minded shareholders could make a suggestion (for another Ultima Online sequel or whatever).
 
In Germany it is possible to buy one stock. Older people buy, go to stock-owner-meetings, eat the 'cake' (one more time that word)...and are very proud. They also vote with. What a bad dream for a firm: Thousends of people all owning one stock... LOL .
But those people own many different stocks and so they got a meeting every weekend. They don't have to cook at home and need nothing to pay for their food.
 
Its possible to buy one stock in the US too, its just that sometimes companys require a minimum amount first. It all depends on the company.
 
Is EA's stock even public? I'd think that the company would be a private shareholders union only for people who work in the company itself
 
Public floatation is awfully good for raising funds, which would allow EA to assume it's position at the top end of the games market.
