"There are five LaGrange points for any orbiting body [from the sun], L1 L2 and L3 lie along a line connecting the two bodies, for example, along a line from the Sun to the Orbiting Earth. These points are unstable as, although objects may remain in them forever, if there are any disturbances (In real space there will be) the object will be moved away from them. The L4 and L5 points lie 60 degrees ahead and behind of the orbiting body respectively. They are stable, so that if an object is disturbed, it will oscillate back towards the LaGrange Point."
