Hi there, everyone!
I haven't long discovered CIC; never knew there were so many 'Wing Commander' fans out there!
Actually, since you all seem to know much more about the WC universe (I've played all the games, but never been able to find the books and other merchandise) I thought this might be a good place to ask for help.
I'm looking for any information people have on the ground soldiers of 'Wing Commander'; ie. Confed troops/marines, their Kilrathi counterparts and their equipment/weaponry.
The reason is, I've been working on a tactical game (sort of 'Vandal Hearts' meets 'Starship Troopers') set in the 'Wing Commander' universe, but I want to make it as authentic to plot and technology as possible. Unlike seemingly most others who've tried to make these so-called 'fan games' I've got no problems with programming, art, sound, etc. but I really wanted some background on WC ground combat (troops, equipment, famous battles) to help create a detailed story WC fans might be interested in.
I'd very much appreciate any 'Marine history lesson' or other weapons/equipment/unit organisation/tactics stuff you hard-core WC scholars can provide!
Cheers,
Banjo
