Comprehensive List of WC games on all platforms?

Does anyone have a list of all WC games on any platform they were released? e.g. WC on PC (1990), WC on SNES (1993), etc.

I'm trying to collect them all.

Thanks,

There was a discussion about this not so long ago, on the general wing commander chat, detailing every game for the platforms.

From an earlier thread:

Wing Commander - PC, SNES, Amiga, FM Towns, SegaCD, CD32, 3DO, Macintosh
The Secret Missions - PC, SNES, FM Towns
The Secret Missions 2 - PC
Wing Commander II - PC, FM Towns
Special Ops 1 - PC
Special Ops 2 - PC
Wing Commander III - PC, 3DO, PSX, Macintosh
Wing Commander IV - PC, PSX, Macintosh
Wing Commander Prophecy - PC, GBA
Wing Commander Secret Ops - PC
Privateer - PC
Righteous Fire - PC
Privateer 2 - PC
Wing Commander Academy - PC
Wing Commander Armada - PC, PC9821, FM Towns
Proving Grounds - PC

So, I count 34 off-hand... but that's not including Win9x ports (4 -- KSWC1-2, WC3, WC4 and Privateer 2) or weird little extras like Origin FX (which has several WC modules).

Figure this is as good of place as any to let people know. I don't know how all the kmart stores are ran but my local one just set out about 11 copies of wing commander prophecy for the gameboy advance for just 3 dollars on clearance down from $29.99,24,21,12,7 then appearantly they just gave up. I don't even own a GBA but I picked one up and hopefully if I got money to spare at the end of the week Ill grab a couple more. So If anyone wants some wing commander you may want to check it out.

Hopfully some people know what a kmart is or I may have just made a fool of myself :)

Kmart was really big around here (it is a major national chain), but they closed all the local ones when the company entered bankrupty some years back. K-mart actually had a sale on Prophecy the week it was released: https://www.wcnews.com/news/update/4695 I still have a copy of that ad around here somewhere.

I wonder if the original Wing1 would run fine on GBA?

Well, the WC game with the most advanced 3d engine looks incredible on the GBA, so...

And the PSP is a lot more powerful than the GBA. It's more powerful than the PC you'd need to run the most demanding WC game for that matter.

Sorry if this is dumb but...

Where are those pics from? Is that WCP for GBA? Those ships look like wc1 rapiers and drathi.

No, that's "Star Giants". Star Giants was a 2D game that Raylight developed to convince Electronic Arts to let them use the Wing Commander license. It was never released commercially, but it was impressive enough that EA allowed them to develop Prophecy GBA.

Hey, Bandit, was that game released UNOFFICIALLY? Do you have a link to a ROM...?

GBA is a pretty good system, it could do WC1 for sure, since they had it for SNES and GBA is more powerful than SNES. I think.

PSP could probably do all of the WC games released to date, including the PC version of Prophecy, complete with FMV. Though, I am no tecchie.

PS: It looks like Super Wing Commander is missing from that comprehensive list. It was released on 3DO and I think MAC and PC as well as maybe a few others...

I don't know of any sort of leaked copy... I don't think anyone other than Raylight and Electronic Arts saw it (that is to say, there's no review version floating around since it's only a tech demo).

It's listed as the 3DO and Macintosh ports of Wing Commander in the earlier post. There was no PC release of Super Wing Commander.

How do you do that? I've been trying to figure out how to download games on the PSP... but can't... and if theres a copy of WC that can go on the PSP, where do i get it! I WANT! I'd personally love to see a re-release of WC2 on one of the handheld systems, that would so rock!

There's no PSP Wing Commander port of any kind. I'm sure someone has developed an SNES emulator for the PSP, though, you can probably run the Wing Commander and Secret Missions ROMS.
