Wing Commander Universe Alpha Test In Progress (August 1, 2005)

SpiritPlumber has asked for help testing the first public build of the Vega Strike Wing Commander Universe mod.

It's a huge expansion of the Privateer Remake featuring most of
the ships from WC1 to WC4 (and more), all the systems in the known WC
galaxy, some fleet-control ability (buy a Drayman and turn it into a
mini-carrier!) and new mission types such as escorting passenger ships or coordinated strikes.

If that sounds like your thing, you can grab the 184 meg starter pack here. This is a test release, so players not interested in encountering and reporting bugs should probably wait for a later build. SpiritPlumber would appreciate feedback.

Sounds great, but how do I install it? I downloaded the 184 meg starter pack using the download link, but I can't figure out how to install the game.

The screenshots look great by the way, it will definately be nice to fly some of the older WC ships with these graphics.
