Wing Commander Prophercy can't get lens flare and fog effect!

I'm using direct3d mode and the 2 effects can't be enabled! All I see is a big X. Why is it like this?

ANyway what does the "Prophecy Registry Update File - Full D3D" do? I thought that setting direct 3d will render evrything using direct 3d!

Are there any differences between Glide mode and Direct 3D mode?! A screenshot would be good!

The second file there is the one you want. Download it and unzip it into your Prophecy directory. That should enable lens flares.

Because at the time WCP was created only Glide cards could do that, thus the option is only available for them.

Dont touch that file!!! It will screw up your installation.

The difference is the two effects you are missing. You can patch lens flare into the game via an unofficial patch.
