Wing Commander Movie Player - sound issue

Hi everyone,
I've installed the HCL movie player (1.2a), but the sound in the movies is quite bad...
The problem disappears when i rip them, it is normal?
 
Probably. You have fewer bottlenecks with the potential to cause sound distortions that way.

There's a way to resolve the problem?

I'm not able to reproduce this problem either on my laptop or home machine, so it could be tricky to find a cause. In any case, you could try switching color depth to 16-bit on your desktop or copy the movie TRE files from the CD to the hard drive and see if it helps.
