Wing Commander IV - Too fast.

I just got a copy of Wing Commander 4 and downloaded the Win95 patch to make it work on my Windows XP Home machine. I set the .exe to Win95 compatability mode. The movies run just fine but it seems, at least to me, that the spaceflight is running a bit too fast. Is their anyway to slow it down?

Specs:
2.6 ghtz processor - P4
Win XP Home - SP1
Logitech Wingman Extreme USB Joystick
DirectX 9.0

Hmm... I don't know what would cause it to be fast, it's probably because you're playing on a newer system.
 
I don't recall any frame rate issues being reported in WC4. You say "a bit too fast" as opposed to 'WC1-on-a-4-GHz-machine-too-fast', so I suspect that it's playing at the rate it's supposed to.
 
For shits n giggles - did you try setting it to Win98 Mode?
 
I downloaded the Win95 patch, and am trying to run the WC4 on a Pentium 4 with Windows XP Pro, but when I get to the install screen, the mouse won't move unless I press a button and hold it...trying to get the pointer to inch across the screen. Also, none of the movies will show. Any ideas? I tried changing everything to Win95 compatability mode, but it didn't seem to help. Thanks!
