Wing Commander IV stuttering...

Hello,

I just picked up a copy of WCIV at the thrift shop yesterday. Today I tried it out, and noticed that there seems to be alot of stuttering on my system. Has anyone else noticed this? Any solutions?

My system:
Athlon 800
384 mb Ram
30 gig HD
Win 98, (using the Win 95 patch and running in Dos mode produce the same results).

Thanks in advance

Also, the version I got came with only the discs and disc case. Does anyone have a rundown of the keyboard commands? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

I sure as hell hope you appreciate all that typing...
you wouldn't happen to know how to get WC4 to acknowledge my Wingman Extreme joystick would you?

Yeah, that was greatly appreciated.

I haven't had any problems getting my Wingman Exxtreme recognized. Just make sure the Wingman profiler is running when you boot it up. Also, if you're having joystick problems relating to drifting and inaccurate calibration, there's a patch in the main page of the file section that should help you out.
