Wing Commander III boring?

Yeah, but isn't it a little harder for certain characters to die in WC3? I mean, I've been playing WC3 for three years, and I've only seen Hobbes' funeral once.
WHAT?! It is possible for Hobbes to die before he defects?
BTW I never managed to get my wingmen killed, except for those who are bound to be killed. Is it really possible to die for them. Cobra can be killed before Hobbes disembowels her?

Mmmmhhh, someone should write a Wing Commander related Animal Farm... with Tolwyn as the head Pig... ;)

And nobody's made fun of Napoleon yet :)?

Weasel is a pilot who dies in WC3, I wasn't referring to WildWeasel (although I finished the ranks chart, so now I need to find WW...).

Certain pilots in WC3 become 'killable' at later points in the game... ones like Hobbes and Cobra become killable earlier. If Hobbes dies in the first Proxima mission, though, you can see his funeral (I *think* that's where it is...).

but what happens if cobra dies before hobbes "awakes"?

or is cobra not killeble if you go with the winning road all the way?

ok thanks that was what i meant,

now, as for WC3 beeing boring, try turning off the music and go on a mission and see what life as a real fighter pilot is like...

And how is the story continued when they are dead? This is intriguing, I have to replay WC3 immediatley.
Well, they are never killable if they are scheduled to appear in any important scenes. That's the reason why Cobra is immortal until she... er, dies. Similarly, Flint will be immortal until the Flint/Rachel choice scene. As soon as you accept her or refuse her, she's free to die any time she wants :).
I do believe the WC3 script which the CIC has available for download notes when various pilots lose their immortality.

Wow!! How many "scripts" of the games does the CIC actually have?
One for each game with movie scenes?
Or perhaps even for WC I and II? :):)

I don't know how many are posted, but I probably have fifteen or twenty different script versions here...

Hmm...If I could remember all the details of the story, I might well go ahead. The one farm is Confed, and other is the Kilrathi. Hehe, then at the end we can have Tolywn playing cards with Thrakhath

Regarding the posts closer to the start...

What always bothered me was that no matter how many carriers Blair took down in WC3, the Kilrathi always had the upper hand in numbers. If the Kilrathi took down one Confed carrier, that would be absolutely devastating in terms of fleet planning and what not.

Weasel

Funny, I never really noticed Weasel karking it until recently. I always wondered whom Blair was referring to when he tells Flash "People were dying out there!"

Actually, that's not correct. Flint is not "at risk" until the Kilrah System missions. There are potential conversations while in the Hyperion System related to your romantic decision.

That's odd... I thought Mitchell was the pilot that died on that mission.

There wasn't any "Mitchell" callsign...

I guess he IS talking about Vaquero...

I'm sure there was, one of the generic pilots. I'm sure I'm not thinking of the 'cheat' command line. Oh well, it's only trivial.

WC3 boaring? I started that game again (for the 20 something time!) and still find it very enjoyable. I dont think I could ever get board with any WC game.
