Hello, my name is Eric Langlois... the lead programmer of the new EV Nova TC of Wing Commander.
For all those who aren't familiar with EV Nova, it's a privateer-style game played on a top-down (or angled for those with the time to make the detailed sprites) game that allows a huge amount of freedom in playing. You can play freestyle, or follow one of the many implanted story lines. Your character can evolve, as can the universe around you. You can discover new solar systems, fight against old and new enemies, earn money, promotions, get access to newer technologies, newer ships, newer guns... An efficient upgrade system allows you to fly ships that have different weapons load outs than the base ships. (Imagine flying a Dragon fighter armed with an Anti Matter Cannon... ok... most fighters will fly circles around your big gun, but who cares about fighters when you have a cloaking device, right?
Anyways, It's a really impressive game with alot of impressive features, it may not be the most graphically aweing experience, but you aren't going to find a game with this much player-freedom often!
The biggest bonus to all this is that it has a Windows AND Macintosh version (The mac version being the orriginal)

headq_auroris@hotmail.com, you don't need to be an expert programmer to help, anyone with basic reading skills can use the EV Nova Bible alongside the EV Nova Windows Editor (or a mac equivalent) to work on the resources (The game was meant to be modded, the EVN Bible is a text document that describes all the resources and how to use them for modding purposes)
