Thanks to this website, I have almost gotten WC4 cd version working correctly. Sound, video all seem to be fine but none of my joysticks work. I have an old Gravis analog PC pro 2-button 2-axis stick, as well as a Logitech Wingman Strike Force 3D force feedback stick. I would be very happy to get either working correctly.
Here is what I have done:
I installed WC4 and applied the win95 patch from the origin site.
I also tried the wc4joy.exe but it appeared to do nothing.
I went to Start>Settings>Control Panel> Game Controllers and added the 2-axis,2-Button controller and set to "Preferred Device"
If I try to "calibrate" inside the WC4 terminal the screen just blinks or does nothing. It doesn't allow me to try and calibrate the stick. Also, if I uninstall and then reinstall the game, it tells me that "JOYSTICK NOT DETECTED!"
Both joysticks work fine when I am moving around the ship or using the Terminal. Buttons and axis' respond as expected. The only thing that works while inside a ship though is the guns button. No axis movement period.
Please help, I know alot of you have gotten sticks to work.
