Wing Commander 3 Fleet?

I hope I have my memory correct here, it has been a while since I played WC3.

Here goes...
One of the missions late in the game when the Behemoth is under escort by the Victory, you are sent out to escort the "big boys." On the display you see a massive fleet of Confed ships being ready to Jump into Kilrathi space, presumably either as a diversionary strike or as clean up after the Kilrah goes boom. You wind up escorting the Ajax and the Sheffield (major disappointment) as they jump out.

So after the Behemoth fell, do we know anything about what happened to this fleet? Had they already begun their engagement or did they pull out. We don't really hear anything about them after that mission.

The scenario you're thinking of is well after the Behemoth is destroyed--it's from the Hyperion 2 briefing. Also, the quote is that *we* (the Victory and her escorts) are going to be 'escorting the big boys'... the mission itself is to clear a path for the Confederation fleet which will be massing at Hyperion to act as a diversion during the t-bomb run.

Also, the quote is that *we* (the Victory and her escorts) are going to be 'escorting the big boys'... the mission itself is to clear a path for the Confederation fleet which will be massing at Hyperion to act as a diversion during the t-bomb run.

I dont really know what kind of ships the fleet consists of, however I believe there is a cutscene just before the final briefing (aboard the Victory), which shows the massed confed fleet and the victory joining up with them. I think this cutscene was PC version only

We see the fleet in a cutscene just before the Kilrah series. It consists of, naturally, lots of WC3 ships: Yorktowns, Southamptons and Tallahassees.

The novel says that the fleet is built around two carrier groups -- the TCS Invincible and the TCS Hermes. The novel also explains that there's no hope for the fleet to survive a prolonged engagement -- the Kilrathi force they're going up against is too powerful. It's all to keep them busy during Blair's raid.
