wing commander 1

Leon D

Spaceman
hi does anyone know how to make the original wingcommander on cd to work on newer machines. i tried slowing my computer down but that made the graphics slow and the gameplay to fast.
AHHHHHHH please help

Buy an old 486. I did, i even slowed it down. It's much more 'fun' that way. Has a very nostalgic feel to it.

In my case, dig out our old 386, or maybe even find where our old 086 or 186 was...I can't remember what it was...but it was an earlier version of a "laptop", ie. it was a portable

I use CPU Killer on Win98.
Not as good as on my good old 386sx, but you can play WC1.

I never managed to make moslo work properly...

cpu killer

hi i tried using a program called turbo it lets you slow down your cpu to whatever speed you want. anyways like i said earlier it still is unplayable

I had the same problems as you, but I found out that using Moslo via DOS slows the game down to a constant speed, instead of the stuttering I get when using Moslo or Turbo in Windows... at least it worked for me.

Same here. You may need to (I know it sounds silly) use Moslo on Moslo on WC, but it should slow things down about right.
