White borders around HUD elements in WCP/SO

I never had any problems with these games until I bought a 3D accellerator, namely a Hercules Prophet 4000XT. Now almost every single HUD element (Crosshairs, target displays etc.) have 1-pixel wide white borders around them in Direct3D mode.

I seem to remember replacement element files available somewhere to use in this case, but I'll be damned if I can find them. Anyone know of a solution to this?
 
Is that a TNT/GeForce type card?
Those are known to have slight graphic problems with WCP/SO. Some people say they could solve it by changing the textel allignement in the properties of the card to 2 IIRC. Doesn't work for me *shrug*

Moreover, it's a Kyro I. Mebbe the Kyro II (been out for a couple years now, I think) would be a suitable solution, if you insist on Kyro's...
