Which Fan Project to Play

Playing WC3 right now, and was thinking to explore an older WC game I never quite finish called Privateer. I saw there are two fan projects dedicated to the game, and was wondering which is the better one to play?

Gemini Gold is the superior Privateer remake... but even better than that, you could just play Privateer.
