well let's just hope that we get many more themes in the future :) oh wait, I don't want this thread to turn into one of *those* threads either :p
 
Well, even though WC1 main theme is great and was "the music that started it all", I have to admit that I like the Movie Theme even more...so 1 vote for WCM

The part of WC music I like most is the music after a briefing in WC1 when you run to your fighter (the original MIDI version, NOT the KS version!) ...so even if "my favorite" is not the "main theme" of the game, it's at least one of the most used "themes" in WC1, and therefore I would be very happy to hear it in some future WC mods again!

I know this thread was started to talk about main themes only, but since future mods will need more than just a main theme and since I'm not sure if it would be worth starting a separate thread for my short "extra-statement" I decided to add it here.
 
Ok i just finished listen to this "dumb" Wc1 music if you think this is better then Wc3 then you definitly are not a good Wc fan. Whats next are you going to say the first wing commanders Graphics were better then wc3-5. LETS HOPE NOT!!!!!!!

Back to the topic. Both of the themes were good. The original theme had a lot of heroism in it and seemed to symbolize the seriest, then again, so did the movies. It is such a tough call. When you consider the fact that Wing1 came out in 1990 and it was only a computer game, then I think it is safe to say that Wing had an incredible soundtrack that is still much better then a lot of film soudtracks out there. Actualy, as far as original midis go, I liked the theme to Wing2 ("Cloak and Dagger") better.

I'm not usually one to comment on this sort of stuff, but your post gave me a headache.
It's not just good practice to put spaces behind interpunction, it has a very good reason.

The only thing dumb here is you. The only person thats not a good WC fan is you. :)
 
I agree with you LeHah. I respect that Valor doesn't like the WC1 music, but calling us bad fans for liking it, is just plain stupid.
Make no mistake, I love the WC3 music. Generally I'd have to say I like WC4 best music-wise.
But that wasn't an option here. I had to pick between WCM and WC1, so I picked WC1.

And once again, I`ll ask, What sucks in this theme?
Don`t call it dumb if you can`t think of anything to say.

As for being a good WC fan, or not, I hardly think it has anything to do with which theme I prefer. It`s like saying that if I like WCP over Privateer2, and you don`t, then I am not a good WC fan.

I think that if I like any WC game, or theme, that would by default make me a WC fan, no?
