Where do I set WC III (DOS) difficulty?

I'm just starting WC III for the first time ever, and I've seen several mentions of difficulty levels in the forums and other places. But, I can't find anyplace in the game to set it, nor can I find any mention in the manual. I'm playing the DOS version. Is it a KS-only thing, or am I blind?
 
You should be able to set the difficulty with the options screen, which can be accessed with "Alt-O".
 
Thanks much- I didn't realize there were separate in-flight options. (But I guess I should have since X-Wing did a similar thing.)
