Where can I find Wing Commander 1?

Alright, I'm a newbie here, and I'm stuck. I've got my original version of Wing Commander (Bought them about eight years ago) but one of the disks went bad so I can't install it. Help me please!!!

See if you can get a hold of Origin's disk exchange-thing. Otherwise, specify which disk you have problems with, and I'm sure someone might be able to dig it up.

Unfortunately though, Chat Zone laws states otherwise. Read the forum rules before posting.
 
Although I certainly don't want to appear disrespectful here, but I just read the chat zone rules and I don't see where they point out otherwise. Everything I mentioned was in accordance with Federal Law and didn't seem to violate any chat rule, please clarify.

The rules say no warez. Maybe you own a Wing Commander 1, but not everyone does. So obviously you're not allowed to post links, request links, or ask for or offer any other kind of distribution. If that doesn't satisfy you, then my answer is "Because we say so".
 
Hey Striker, I think I have a copy of Wing 1 kicking around somewhere, on an Origin Gold edition CD. Since I have The Kilrathi Saga now as well I would be willing to part with the older Disk. I'll take a look around and see if I can find it, and let you know.

Bring it on, sonny. :) Nah, I'm just kidding, I don't really care what you say, it takes a lot for me to take offense.

I may not understand your rules but I'll certainly respect them. Still, I'd like to find a copy of the game again, but I don't really want to have to pay for it again (Since I've already paid for it once.)
 
Like LeHah said, the eaasiest place to get one would be the PC Gamer CD that was released last year. I think you can order a back order of that issue.
 
Ebay (as suggested in my now, unfairly (IMHO) closed thread) is a great place to look.

I have the Deluxe Ed (with SM1&2) on CD, but still wanted the original releases, just to have. I found, and bought, 2 copies in very good condition. After my get-out-of-debt-quest is complete, I may even go back for a better copy still if I can find one. heh heh :)

They are cheap too, so it's not like you'll be paying much. I've found that pretty much _anything_ is on ebay.

I would recommend that you pick up Kilrathi Saga though unless you have an old 486 (or older) box laying around to play it on. Trust me, it's sooo nice to just throw it in, fire it up, and play it at the intended speed regardless of what you have under the hood.

What Major Striker requests is as far as my knowledge of law goes (and the board rules) perfectly legal.
Indeed uploading WC1 somewhere or giving a link to it would be illegal however.
So what am I talking about?
