What's the Difference?

I think you have to hit ... R and Select until the Com window pops up, then something (X?), then select(?) until you have the wingman selected, then the confirm button, .....

I KNOW that C, 1, 2 was muuuch easier.

Yeah, I think that's pretty much it... You have to use SELECT+R (or L, I can't really remember which vdu the comm is in) to change your vdu display.

Then there is a button to change things in your VDU (I think it's the same one you use to change guns) and another to select the recipiant/taunt ..... It's not that hard to figure out. After all, I figured out every one of the snes wc controls without any sort of instruction manual or ever playing a wing commander game before, it just took one hell of a long time.:)

Yeah, that's pretty much how I did it too...
No instruction manual, and about three missions before I realised Select _did_ anything.

And then, about five more before I figured out how to even think of calling on my wingman.

(But, after that, it was mission after mission of "Go home!" ;))

It's basic fiddling, and, once you've gotten it, WRITE IT DOWN!!

(Otherwise, I'm going to have to call this thread up some five years from now. :p)

Edit
-----

Of course, I still stand by C, 1, 2 being easier. :p
