You can travel around more systems, you can buy more ships, and it's a lot less stable (i.e. following the storyline may cause it to crap out at any moment). If you want to help work on WCU, I suggest you install Priv Remake twice and install WCU on top of one of the installs so you can enjoy the real remake normally.
