Cry some more!
It stopped working for me. I downloaded the first one a few days ago, but when I retried yesterday, it wouldn't work. I tried it with a FTP client too, (with passive OFF) and it answered:
"200 PORT command successful.
Opening data connection IP: 200.xxx.xxx.xxx PORT: XXXX.
RETR HQ_Episode_02_-_The_Last_One_Left.avi
550 Insufficient credits."

Note: I hid the IP and Port myself.

It happened both at home (DSL) and at work (huge fucking professional data processing company link).

The "old" link is fubar for me too, it says something not nice to me in german.
 
Like I said over in News Comments, the other mirror has a traffic limit that's probably on the low side. (20 gigs allows for less than 100 downloads each week). The German mirror had some connectivity issues or such earlier today, so that might be why the files are currently unavailable.
 
Sorry for making the new thread, then, I looked at the other forum before posting, but I guess we posted very close.

The change is welcome. The old server kept trying to link me to adult websites. Wouldn't even let me click out of the window! But I have all 13 episodes now :D

I'll have to check my old backups later (like when I have an hour or so to spare to dig through the warzone that is my closet :p ), but I think I still have the old WCA(tv) RM files.

What actual good they'd be, though, is another question entirely. :)
 
Wow, that's a lot of users. 150 GB transfer in 1 day!

I have lowered the server access to 1000 users. If need be, I'll lower it even further.

I could buy more bandwidth, but that's it I have to buy more.

If you like the moorrir, please help we out with the bandwidth. You can either simply donate, or you can just listen to Toon Radio. Toon Radio is the primary use of the server, as well as the primary way I pay for it. Think of this as payment for the episodes.
 
Meson, I think the other WC sections of your site have some problems... almost all the links returned some ASP error code.

But thanks for the webspace (and bandwidth)
 
150GB :eek: That's 2 times the bandwidth I have for the entire year. Thanks for sharing.
Are the episodes available on eMule or BitTorrent?
 
Grrrrrr, don't solicit. My sweat and tears (no blood) went into getting these episodes to where they are - they shouldn't be used to make money.
 
I agree to an extent - but several other people are also hosting them without getting any money for it... and lots of other people have been hosting huge WC files for years at a high cost.
 
Imagine what it would be like if it were not for these volunteers to host the files! Gotta salute them for it!

Say..maybe the CIC should put together some sort of CD-ROM compilation of these files (legal files of course) and offer them for those who cant download the large stuff, or some sort of "CIC's select pick" or something.?? Set it up so those who want them either send the blank CD's and pay for shipping or pay a small fee to cover the cost of blanks and time to make them plus shipping.

Probably too much work involved, but it would be neat if the CIC had some sort of special compilation of facts, files n stuff on CD with official CIC logos and such. :)
 
That's what that Russian magazine DVD I made a big annotated file list for basically was, as far as I know. I don't actually know which files they ended up putting on it, though.

And Loaf, you're right, other people have volunteered to shoulder the burden of hosting big files before...
