WC4DVD without hardware support

Anyone ever managed to get WC4DVD to run with only a software DVD player?
If so, could you tell me which player you used.
 
I believe you have to change the association of a certain media type to whatever software it is you use; can't recall which media type, though. It should be the one that the WC4 movies are stored in.

I am aware of this. I am currently using WINDVD and it also works to a certain degree. But only to a certain degree. That is why I am asking for other players.
(Current problems I do have: I have to press ESC after each movie for the game to continue. Every time there is a decision to be made the next movie is not found. Besides that all runs fine. I think this might be player related and so I hope someone can suggest me a different one)
