WC4 movie project?

i just re-watched the movie projects for WC3 and WC4 and really enjoyed them. I was curious to know if anyone wa trying to tackle WC5 (prophecy) movie project
 
I guess Secret Ops would be WC6. I don’t think you could make a very good movie out of it though.
 
I saw somebody called Lockmat on Vimeo posting videos from Prophecy: Secret Ops. I think he's fairly far along on the missions too.
 
There isn't a WC6 game, yet. One of the reasons I'd really love to see a WC6 movie... Well there is Arena but there no FMV in it.
 
I would classify Wing Commander: Secret Ops as "WC6" in the same sense as Prophecy is "WC5" -- and I've said that to Chris Roberts himself! :)

That said, I would have a lot of trouble calling any new game WC7, without any continuity of design team.
 
True, Wing Commander Secret Ops was a stand alone game and not an addon like the Secret Missions. Not only that but it was a full game in many respacts aside from a lack of FMV which by it's very nature is a wing commander prerequisit. Even as a 'freebie' it's a kickass game improving on the last with more challenging missions and bigger furballs.
Isn't that all we want anyways? To continue to fight the good fight. Defending humanity and it's allies againsts the darker evils of the universe? And the chance to blow lots of shit up.

Hopeing/praying for a new game soon so we can play, elate, bitch and beg for more.

Someone was trying about a year ago, but they didn't get too far. We have all those gigabytes of Prophecy VOBs online too, so it should be easier to do Prophecy than anything.

There's a bunch of awesome Wing Commander games that don't have any of what you'd consider FMV.
 
Thought he was looking for new WC movies. WC1, WC2, Privateer have anough story and animation which I guess you could put onto a dvd and maybe dub some audio in or throw some Chinese in and leave the subs to make the 'movie' feel like a forien classic. ;)
Those cartoonish first steps evolved into the Wing Commander we know today.
How about taking the old video and cutting it up to make a sort of documentary. A history of the Confederation. That would be cool and very difficult I imagine.
As for secret ops, it does have CG cutscenes and in flight comms that can be tacked onto the end of the prophecy 'movie.
Lots of possibilities. Finding people to crank out dvd quality movies for free on the other hand... I'm more then happy with what I got for free. Maybe people ho never played WC will dl the movies and think 'damn thisis a movie' and another fan will be borne. Folks d alot to promote and keep this game alive. Thank you. :)
