WC3 in Win XP

Does anyone know of any patches/emulators that will allow me to play WC3 (original DOS version) in windows XP? I've tried downloading several DOS emulators (including DOS-box) but have been unable to find one that works.

Thanks in advance for any help.
 
As you can see below, I had the same problem.

I finally found the solution. I simple installed VDMSound and launched the game with it... the game works flawlessly except there is some "pops & clicks" in the sound but really not boring...
 
HOW TO WORK WC3 IN WIN XP!

DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE FROM www.VMWARE.com WORKSTATION 4.0 and you CAN EMULATED DOS/LINUX/WINNT etc... that's all greetingz panther!
