wc2 problems (Kilrathi Saga)

Hi all,

I've read through alot of the posts concerning wc2 and dosbox. I now have dosbox .63 working and wc2 runs great. The only problem is there is no sound.

The only thing I can think of is that the dma/irq settings are wrong in dosbox.conf. Has anyone come across this problem and solved it?

I have tried all combinations of irqs: 1,3,5,7,10 with dmas: 0,1,3,5,6,7

What does Kilrathi Saga have to do with this? Are you running DOS WC2 in DOSBox? Don't play around with the sound card settings in the dosbox.conf. The default values work fine. Have you gone into the installation program and told it you have a Sound Blaster compatible card? When you say yes to speech, the menu will indicate IRQ7 was selected.
 
Back when I played around with WC 2 Deluxe, I only had sound with it once. You have to choose a certain sound card in the install to get it to work.

Edit: Chris is right just use the Soundblaster option

I got so wrapped up in working with dosbox I forgot to change the values with winstall, oops! Thanks for the advice, now everything is working fine.
