WC-Style Avatars

Howdy guys,

I´ve recently visited a german WC-Board and so I´ve seen an (imho) very interesting and nice idea:

The users there made avatars of themselves with edited wc-screencaps, so everybody can see who´s behind the nickname in the forum...and its very stylish coz of the wc-theme...looks like original pilots.^^

Maybe we can make this in the CIC-Boards, too?? Would be cool...imho.

I'm witcha, Lynx.

She kinda looks a little like Scully, only a bit less glamorous; more of a "fresh-scrubbed, girl next door" sort of look

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why we don't have personalized avatars. Goodnight, thread.
 
And don't hotlink. Either attach the image to your post, or simply link to it. Someone has to pay for that bandwidth.

I think you can upload a picture for your profile from the user control panel. It's not the same as an avatar (it's only visible on your profile page) but you can upload something if you want to. I'll doublecheck that the option is activated. Once you reach 2,000 posts you can use your picture for an avatar.
