WC Academy Gauntlet

Have any of you Wing Commander veterans ever been able to beat the WC Academy Gauntlet? The closest I've ever come to was Level 15, Wave 1, flying a Sabre with Hobbes as my wingman.

I had to admit defeat on that one. Just got too boring repeatedly starting from the beginning everytime I died. No plot either! Although, I believe some very bored people have managed to do it...

Even though I haven't been that far in the Academy guantlet I think it's easier than the Armada guantlet. Talk about tough!

I concur, although the Armada gauntlet is easier and less painful with the patch which allows access to gauntlet levels via passwords.

Don't put words in my mouth.

But, I do find the thought of repeatedly attempting the WC Academy gauntlet a bit boring.
