WC 4 1st mission

I must be very good, ´cause I always get that mission right...
Is just following the T-bolts (not in visual range, but radar range) until that frigate show on radar and turn back.

You should get the idea when 'Bitching Betty' blabbers on about "Proceed to next waypoint." :) Interesting that the terminology went from navpoint to waypoint to navpoint again. (ICIS Waypoint! magazine makes a point of the latter.)

Bitching Betty... damn, that was one appropriately named computer... <shudder>
But I guess that was the idea - everything Confed in WC4 seemed to be designed to encourage re-enlistment ;).

Bitching Betty is, IIRC, the name of the *real* flight computer voice <G>

I believe the kilometers thing was blurred out because he said *12* instead of *12,000*... so instead of re-record it, they just blurred it out <G>

As for the NavPoint/WayPoint/Whatever thing... I think it just wasn't specified by the military before Confed declared that it would be *Navpoint* in WCP.

I wonder why the mission is a failure when you destroy the frigate when you first spot it, if you are going to destroy it anyway a couple of hours later.

BTW, that SO1 mission, where you fly with a Crossbow and two wingmen, to attack that decoy Strike Force of two Fralthras and fighters (and are later informed that the real strike force is somewhere else)...

I just recently completed that, and the two Fralthras jump out after some dogfighting (or maybe if you get too close)...
Can you destroy those, by engaging them straight away, or are they scripted to jump out in all cases?

I think it's the one before the last of SO1, where you fly Sabres against two other Fralthras...

LOAF might know more precisely...

That's the first mission in the second Ghorah Khar series... you *can* destroy both Fralthra before they jump out.

OK... I'm betting it's in one of the Ghorah Khar series. Um... In that mission they will pretty much always jump out. You could probably kill them... but I doubt it. Anyways, in the final mission, 3 later, you end up meeting them again and taking them out. Destroying the two Fralthra is the game's victory condition.

Hmm... I figured they were the same ones. But I guess I'm wrong :(

Either way, you have very little chance of taking out the first two before they jump out.

That's what I thought... :)

And those *are* two different Fralthras in the last mission, because the first ones were a decoy for the large fleet, part of which you namely have to fight in the last SO1 mission...

Hey, no one's taking away the merit from you for that!! The Pewter Planet is on its way... ;)

Wouldn't that hurt her VERY MUCH?
Plus, I think you'd have to do some Mike Tyson style "ear kissing", because simple "sucking" would not suffice... :)
