It's possible someone could license the rights, though that wouldn't seem likely for the time being. That said, the nature of the way they did the effects means that a lot of the art assets that could be used for a game already exist. For example, eyetronics scanned all the actors and many of the sets and whatnot so the 3D artists would have exact matches to work with.
