USB Joysticks in the Wing Commander Games

Hi, I was just wondering if WC3, WC4 and WCP pick up USB joysticks, or do you need a "game port" joystick?

I used M$ Precision Pro 2 with WCP and WCSO on WinXP. It worked fine.

Depends what version your running. Kilrathi Saga WC3 added support for digital joysticks, as did the Windows 95 upgrade to WC4. Prophecy and Secret Ops support them natively.

Unfortunately, my laptop doesn't have a game port. :/
Otherwise, I'd use my old joystick.

Rockfire has a gameport to USB converter, for about $15 US. Go nuts.

No.
You plug yer trusty gameport stick in one end of it, and plug the other end to the USB port of yer PC (thus, "gameport to USB")
