Toughest Enemy Fighter in UE

How´s that? I haven´t played UE yet, but in Prophecy those stupid Lampreys just kept bouncing on my ship, doing little harm, until I blasted them.

The problem is that Lampreys absorb only regular shields and NOT Phase Shields like capital ships usually have. What I would like to see is a fighter with a light cannon capable of penetrating shields and directly damaging the armor underneath (sort of like the WC2/3 antimatter cannon does, but much smaller and faster firing).
 
Lambreys even in Nightmare difficulty cant heart a single Fighter... and you are talking about Lambreys Harming a CapShip ?

If thats the fix Ghost is talking about he is correct ,they are very useless
 
The problem with Lampreys is that although their weapon drains shields easily, it cannot harm armor. This means that the only way that a fighter will get destroyed is if it is caught in a crossfire between a Lamprey and another ship, in which case the contribution of the Lamprey becomes secondary.
 
of course they harm armour
in fact, you cannot specify a weapon to do different ammounts of damage to the shields and armour

also, I've flown a sim mission with 30 lampreys... they eat through armour ;)
