Timeline Help - Wing Commander IV Players Needed!

Bandit LOAF

Long Live the Confederation!
Howdy Team,
I decided to pick up my old post-war timeline project this week. I've gone through and done about half of False Colors, and I've edited a lot of the work I did a few months back on Wing Commander IV...

Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of WC4 to play at school -- so I'm hoping someone out there can check out a few points in the game for me.

Mission Nephele 1 - Which redshirts are flying CAP at Bluepoint Station at the end of the mission?
Mission Hellespont 1 - Which redshirts are protecting the communications array (second leg of the mission)?
Mission Hellespont 2A - Which redshirts are flying the Hellcats that escort you?

Also -- does anyone have the WCIV Demo up and running? I'd like to know some of the details -- who is flying around the Intrepid at the start? (I know Dekker and the BWS Bluepoint)... and what are the 'waves' of pirates that can attack at the gauntlet stage?

Thanks!

I did a check on the demo, tested at Nightmare level (with Invul on for the sake of making it through everything without dealing with the "one-missle=death" idea). At launch, the following ships are present:

Blair (in a Hellcat)
Intrepid
Dekker (In a shuttle)
Bluepoint (Caernaven frigate)
Buckwheat (in a Hellcat)
Pablo (in a Hellcat)

In the gauntlet phase of the mission:
First wave
1 Caernaven frigate (ID: Frigate)
2 Arrows (ID: Unknown)

Second Wave
2 Razors (ID: Pirate)

Wave 3
2 Thunderbolts (ID: Pirate)

Wave 4
2 Razors (ID: Pirate)

At this point, the cycle of fighters begins again (2 Arrows, 2 Razors, 2 T-bolts, 2 Razors, repeat), except from Wave 5 on, the Arrows have the Pirate ID, instead of "Unknown", although occasionally, an Arrow or T-bolt will have the Unknown ID tag instead of Pirate. Also, if the Frigate is destroyed, a new one will jump in (this repeats for each time a frigate is destroyed).

And I'm not sure if it's a bug or not (having never gotten to play WC4 itself), but the enemy frigates seem to have their engines stuck in reverse. I could cut the engines in the Hellcat to 0, and sit there as the frigates flew directly towards me...engine first.

Thanks for your help! The Wing Commander IV portion of the timeline is now complete (or as complete as it'll be until the eventual rewrite). Thanks so much for taking the time to help me!

do you not know who he is? Of course he played WC4. The problem was that he didnt have a copy with him at college, so he couldnt do a quick reference. Thats why he asked for help.

I'm thinking he meant me, since I mentioned I've never played it :p Simple - didn't have the money for it when it came out, and I've never found it secondhand around here, nor been able to pick it up on eBay/wherever else.

I was pretty lucky to find one perfectly new copy forgotten in a storeshelf in 98.
It was imported... but it was so old that the price had dropped.

I wrote a five page history paper, a three page English paper and a sixty five page Wing Commander IV timeline this weekend.

Just think what you could do if you actually applied yourself to your studies, instead of messing with some game thingamajig.

Remember, a mind is a terrible thing to waste. So don't get wasted. :D
