It's time to pat ourselves on the back: today is our third anniversary of providing uninterrupted daily Wing Commander news updates! We're happy to be able to provide wingnuts around the world something new, however small, each day! The response we receive through the forums, via e-mail, on IRC and at conventions is what keeps the site going - you're a great community, and this is as much your accomplishment as it is ours.

So, what were we talking about three years ago? The imminent release of Wing Commander Prophecy GBA! Lets hope we get to present news like that again soon...

Gotta say thanks alot. Wing commander cic is one of my favorite sites. Ive been checking semi regular for a few years now. I think its great you guys update every day and I usually try to swing by daily to check things. Though missing a few weeks here and there are kinda nice since then I can get a bigger dose of cic crack because I do believe you people have turned me into an addict.

Anyways great job on keeping the site updated just kinda curious does the staff each have specific days they update or is it whoever has something worth stating on that particular day.

Once again great job and thanks for the daily fix.

It's more fluid. Everybody has particular updates that they might have their eye on, and there's always a few on ongoing things that anyone can pick up. Everyone's busy and their schedules change a lot, so everyone just trades off depending on what's going on.

Ever since the beginning I'd wanted to make CIC updates a daily thing. We had a tremendous amount of news in the beginning and we updated nearly every day, but there were some gaps. I'm really really thanksful for Prophecy Advance for giving us a boost to start doing that again. At the time I wasn't sure there'd be enough material to maintain updates every single day, but the fans are so active that we always seem to find something going on.

It's great to participate in a community that is still passionately active about everything around the Wing Commander games, and its also great to watch and read and play with the things that community ceaselessly turns out.

But you guys keep things going, and the daily news update is something that makes the CIC attractive for everyone just discovering WC, as well as motivating all the old hands who yearn to see progress and new ideas.
Thanks aplenty, and let's hope that there's lots of good news in the future.
