The ultimate pilot lineup

Out of ll the pilots in Confed, who do you think deserve to be the best of the best? Here's mine:

Blair: What han't this guy done?

Bossman: In my opinion he's probably the best pilot in the whole series.

Iceman: He's almost as good as Bossman.

Angel: She would probably make the best Wing Commander.

Halcyon: We need someone to call the shots, and Halcyon is the best man for the job in my book.

Flint: A pilot to take on the big cap ships.

Eisen: Someone to drive the big grey monster.

Primate: He may be a red shirt, but in my opinion he does as good a job of playing Wedge Antilles to Blair's Luke Skywalker as anyone else.

Excell: I flew with bher recently, and I remember trying to find a fighter to shoot down, but she was always there first and shot them down.

Pliars: To hold the ships together, and come up with a miricle when the going gets tough. Plus he's a lot funnier that Rachel.

Spirit: Yes, I'm biased. But she is a good pilot, and would ertainly get her number of kills with her subtle flying style while the enemy is distraced with her wingman's more in your face approach.

Heres mine!!!

Casey: Wing Leader and we need someone to take out an army of bugs.

Maniac: Comic Relief :)

Halcyon: There has to be someone to brief those pilots

Pliers: We need someone who knows a lot about ships and Pliers is the man.

Panther: Better than Hawk IMO

Blair: All-purpose pilot, give him any job (as long as its in the cockpit) and he'll do it (well almost any job).

Dekkar: Ground Ops (you know what I mean, marine stuff).

Oh yes, indeed! That's a good analogy, BTW. Especially considering that Primate is one of the few (quiet) pilots who survived from Blair's disastrous efforts in keeping his wingmen alive on the Victory. :)

It's not my analogy, actually. :) Dougie, not sure if that's his name, he has an abbridged version of he Wing Commander characters page from a proper web site, where he says things like how Val Kilmer in Top Gun couldn't hold a torch to Iceman, and made the Wedge comparison. I have to agree. He also throws in quotes some of the characters are reknowned for. Here's Blair's :p "But I was going to Tosche station to pick up some power converters!"

Until I played Rogue Leader, I had no idea how that was spelt, because of the way Hamill delivered the line. I always thought he said "Tah-shee". :/

Pronounced 'Tah-shee' or 'Toh-shee' station perhaps. I always heard 'Tah-shee'. I think it might be spelt diffirently in the Shadows of the Emperor novel, but not sure.

Shadows of the Empire, perhaps? Don't recall reading it there, but I only read it a couple of times.
