17 November 2006 - "The Tomorrow War" gains favorable press

The first reviews of the game "The Tommorow War" have appeared on the Internet. In general, the project has left a favorable impression on the reviewers.

"The game's embodiment of the literary work turned out well. The game captivates by means of its plot and beautiful battles. The interest which exists in the beginning does not disappear and forces one to fly from the base again and again, to smash rivals and to seek out new friends. The game was a maximally pleasant acquisition. It is problematic to tear one's self away from it" writes Sergei Kamenshikov, a reviewer for the portal http://igray.ru. Rating: 9 on a scale of 10. "Before you lies a unique occurrence: a classic space simulator with an excellent plot from professional authors, contemporary graphics and innovative finds, created in Russia. ... A little-known Russian studio has managed to do that on which their western colleagues have repeatedly broken their teeth. In addition to this, it pays not to forget that we are talking about the genre of space simulators which is far from popular and extremely complex for mastery," concludes Alexander Sadko, a reviewer of the site http://games.mail.ru Rating: 8.6 on a scale of 10, "Editor's Choice." If there is sufficient interest, I might be willing to do translations of the reviews mentioned above.

All of the translations are mine, so you know who to blame for boo-boos.

be warned: the books the game's based on, the author and the game itself are somewhat uber-patriotic and too eager to re-install Russia as a superpower. humor is present, but it's for you to decide whether it justifies the overall chauvinistic feel or not. prepare a good grain of salt for this one.
then again, the space sim in the core is pretty well done.
